StudyMaxer (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) is a social study app that helps groups of friends study together and keep a virtual penguin named Pip happy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control or delete your data.
Plain-English summary: We collect what we need to run the app (email, name, what you study, the flashcards you create), use Google AdMob for the optional revive-Pip rewarded ad, and store everything on Supabase. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.

We do not collect: health data, financial data, precise GPS location, contacts, browsing history, search history, sensitive personal info, photos, audio recordings, or any biometric data.
When you first see the revive-Pip rewarded ad, iOS will ask “Allow StudyMaxer to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites?” If you decline, ads still work but are not personalized. Your study data, group activity, and Pip’s mood are completely unaffected by your tracking choice.

We use AdMob to deliver the optional rewarded ad that lets you revive Pip. AdMob may collect Device ID, Coarse Location (from IP), and Advertising Data subject to your iOS tracking permission. Google Privacy Policy · AdMob and Google’s use of your data.
If you sign in with Apple, only your Apple-provided email (which may be a relay address) and name are shared with us. Apple Privacy Policy.
Inside the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, study sessions, group memberships, flashcards you authored, and block list. The action is irreversible. If you can’t access the app, email studymaxer@outlook.com from the email on file and we will delete your account within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email studymaxer@outlook.com.
StudyMaxer is rated 4+ on the App Store but is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Connections to our backend use HTTPS/TLS. Supabase enforces row-level security on every database table — your data is only readable by you and the group members you’ve invited. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth (never stored in plain text on our side).
StudyMaxer is operated from the United States and our servers are in the US. By using the app, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the US.
If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where required, notify you in-app. Continued use of StudyMaxer after a change means you accept the updated policy.
